Day 1: San Fran at Last

We tooled around big sur for a bit, and then Carmel as well, so we were getting a much later departure time for San Fran than planned.  The day was perfect weather-wise, but the leg from Carmel to SF was TENSE. Wind gusts, increasing traffic, and heavy fog had us misty eyed, and it wasn't because we were missing home!
The conditions were worsening as we got more fatigued but we finally got in around 22:10 to a well deserved, comfortable room. It's time to hit the hay. Tomorrow is another long day...
